more details
This location house is an end of terrace, flat-fronted Victorian townhouse, newly renovated with 5 floors (originally 4) and it dates back to circa 1850.
The house has a fun, colourful, open plan design that has a variety of spaces, inside & out, to entertain guests, or to sit, read, chat, work and so on.
Entrance Hall has a and a neon light that quotes a line from a Rumi poem. This then opens into an open plan double reception room, designed to entertain guests; bright, fun, modern art adorns the walls; two spectacular, large chandeliers hang from the high ceilings and there are two open gas fireplaces with large mantlepieces.
Modern kitchen, including breakfast bar, with built-in appliances & minimalist look; open plan with a separate, dining area & living area with a modern gas fireplace. This opens onto a courtyard style garden. It’s designed and utilised as an extension of the lower ground floor living space (weather permitting!); for a central London garden it’s large enough to have three distinct areas, each offering a slightly different use and perspective.
A tribute to the Goldfinger movie is contained in the Lower Ground Floor bathroom, with a famous quote from the movie painted across the main wall.
The basement comprises of a fully functioning gym, laundry room and bathroom. There is a separate study/TV room with bespoke Crittall doors. The whole area has high ceilings.
There are three bedrooms – the main bedroom, bathroom and dressing room are on the 1st floor, which have a feminine feel with pink-themed furniture and finish. The two guest suites (each with its own distinct design theme) are on the 2nd floor and each have their own bathroom. There is a generous landing with seating area that has Palm Springs vibe.
