The Croft Suffolk, IP14

about

Beautiful traditional restored farmhouse of great proportions.

This detached, medieval Suffolk farmhouse has been lovingly restored to create a wonderfully French inspired family home. With a palette of greys, pale blue and whites, the house has retained many original features, but has been completely transformed.

Large, light rooms painted in pale colours with many interesting props. Painted floors and a wealth of exposed beams with French enamel stoves.

There are two oak staircases up to separate attic rooms. One has been made into a Victorian nursery (with a large collection of nursery china) and the other a large studio/bedroom. The furniture can be moved or cleared if required. Wall colour can be changed but not the floors.

Outside are lawns to the front with mature trees and a south facing garden at the back with well-tended, colourful herbaceous borders full of “cut” flowers during the summer months. Large pond with fish and water plants. The shepherd’s hut is fitted out with vintage furniture and props, in amongst wild flowers and mature poplars over looking open farmland with far-reaching views.

Easy access from the A14/A12/M11. Two hours drive from central London, or 1.5 hrs by train from Liverpool St. to Ipswich or Stowmarket.

Stowmarket station is 5 mins (taxi) drive to the house. Off street parking for several vehicles and storage for props etc.
