Grove London, SW11

A semi-detached early Victorian location house in Battersea. Fully refurbished in 2015, the work was faithful to the old market-garden cottages that are a feature of this particular road, but with a subtle modern feel. General colour palette is pale, light greys with contrast of dark greys.

The hallway entrance has a limestone floor, features a spiral staircase and curved walls, and is lit by the skylight above.

There are wide Dinesen floorboards in the kitchen/living room, with marble tops softened by classic English kitchen units and copper pendants, white painted wall boards, and long sash windows and panelled garden doors onto the garden. The more classic sitting-room with wood-burner leads to the snug-come-library, which leads back to the kitchen via glass panelled sliding doors.

Upstairs, two of the bedrooms are classic, but the children’s bedroom features a built-in triple bunk, with a mezzanine cut into the pitch of the ceiling. There is a further bedroom.

The bathrooms are a mix of marble metro tiles and black and white mosaics. There is a driveway which can fit one large car. The street is one way with paid parking spaces – we can provide day parking permits at an additional cost.
