Macdonald London, E10

about

A cool, young, Victorian family terraced home in Leyton.

With parking for one vehicle on the driveway, a tiled path leads to the attractively painted original front door. Once inside, the tiled flooring continues, paired with simple white painted walls and high period ceilings with original detail. The house is flooded with natural light.

The sitting room at the front of the house has an attractive bay window, and the floors have been stripped to expose the boards, all of which are in great condition. A small open fire sits modestly within the chimney breast.

Double doors open through to the dining room, where the ceiling and walls have been painted in a deep sea green colour. A glazed door provides access to the good sized rear garden.

At the rear of the property is a large open plan kitchen, with further sitting room. The kitchen cupboards are made with fashionable ply, but the countertop has a more luxurious marble finish. It’s a simple kitchen but has great impact.

The new sitting room has been created by adding an extension, and with great success! The walls are varnished plaster, and ceiling has exposed beams with an atrium skylight. All of the natural light, paired with the white painted floor makes this a beautifully bright space.

To the first floor are three double bedrooms and family bathroom. All of the rooms are minimally furnished, have plain painted walls, and stripped floors, and are of good proportions.

There is off street parking for one vehicle on the driveway, and space for a second vehicle in front of the house. Residents permits are required for additional cars (max. 2) and for an additional fee.
