Revival Villa London, SE19

about

A detached, grade II listed Gothic Revival Victorian Villa.

Built in 1873, it is one of the few buildings in the area to remain as a single dwelling (7,000 sq ft). The new owners moved in in April 2016 are only the third family to own it.

The house has retained many of it’s original features including all the cornicing, iron bannisters and parquet flooring. The house will be under gentle restoration and improvement over the coming years. The principal rooms offer amazing daylight thanks to the huge floor to ceiling original windows. Original fireplaces remain in these rooms, which also celebrate amazing ceiling heights.

The garden is just under 300ft long. in the garden there is also the original ‘smoking lodge’. It’s a small building that has the original cast iron fireplace but hasn’t been touched for many years.

The front garden (50ft long approx) is a sunken garden with the original small stone pond and fountain. Previous owners have added a few quirky additions, the attic has been transformed into a “spaceship” and the “Belvedere” has amazing views towards Heathrow.

There are 8 bedrooms in total.

There is off street parking for around 10 cars, and the driveway is wide enough to accommodate truck access.
