New Studio Filming Locations in London

London’s studio offering continues to grow, with spaces ranging from fully controlled production studios to daylight-filled warehouses and purpose-built spaces with ready-made lifestyle sets.

SHOOTFACTORY has recently added several distinctive studios to its London location library. Each offers a different approach to photography and filming, including drive-in access and blackout facilities, rustic warehouse interiors, abundant natural daylight, infinity coves and flexible residential sets.

For production teams looking for a new space, our photographic studios provide options for fashion, lifestyle, product, commercial, editorial and film productions across London.

Chalk Farm Three

Location: London, NW1

Chalk Farm Three is a contemporary studio in NW1 designed around flexibility. With a total area of 107 square metres and a ceiling height of 4.7 metres, it provides useful proportions for photography, filming, product launches and other creative productions.

One of its strongest practical features is drive-in access. Vehicles, substantial props and production equipment can be brought directly into the space, making the studio suitable for projects where straightforward loading is important.

Blackout blinds give crews greater control over the lighting environment, while three-phase power supports more demanding production setups. Mechanical ventilation, fibre optic 1GB WiFi and a kitchen area add to the practical facilities available during a shoot.

The studio also has built-in speakers, a wall-mounted television and an iPad. For productions requiring additional space within the same building, Chalk Farm One and Chalk Farm Two provide further options.

Chalk Farm Three is a strong choice where a production needs a contemporary blank canvas with good technical infrastructure rather than a heavily styled interior.

Cookhouse

Location: London, EN5

At the other end of the visual spectrum, Cookhouse provides a characterful warehouse studio filled with aged surfaces and ready shooting areas.

Exposed brick, distressed plaster, weathered timber flooring and reclaimed materials give the studio the appearance of a space that has developed naturally over time. Vintage furniture and architectural details reinforce the lived-in quality, allowing productions to create residential imagery without building a complete set.

Large industrial windows bring plenty of natural light into the space, picking up the textures of timber, brick and aged finishes. A kitchen, dining area, leather Chesterfield sofa, upright piano, aged doors and movable backdrops provide several different compositions within one location.

Sliding barn doors and textured walls create further options for changing the background between shots.

Cookhouse can work particularly well for fashion, lifestyle, interiors and commercial photography, as well as filming that needs a rustic residential setting. Its combination of warehouse proportions and carefully arranged interiors allows the space to stand in for an old farmhouse, artist’s home, loft or period interior while remaining inside the M25.

Arthouse

Location: London, EN5

Arthouse combines the scale and natural light of a warehouse studio with an eclectic collection of vintage furniture, architectural salvage and found objects.

Original timber floors and large factory windows establish the industrial character of the building, while distressed doors, antique cabinets, leather seating, vintage mirrors and exposed brick add layers of texture throughout the interior.

The result sits somewhere between an artist’s studio, old workshop and loft apartment.

Natural light enters through the large steel-framed windows and can become particularly atmospheric later in the day. Sheer curtains soften the light, providing another option for portrait, fashion and lifestyle photography.

The open plan layout means productions are not restricted to the existing arrangements. Furniture and props can be repositioned to create different compositions, while a kitchen bar area, bathroom, and a mix of residential and studio settings increase the number of looks available.

For fashion editorials, commercial campaigns, portraiture, music projects and film productions, Arthouse offers a backdrop with a distinctly aged and creative character.

Greenhouse

Location: London, EN5

For productions needing a brighter visual direction, Greenhouse combines warehouse proportions with natural materials, white painted brick and extensive planting.

High-pitched ceilings give the interior a strong sense of scale, while the large amount of daylight keeps the space light and open. Plants appear throughout the studio, accompanied by timber shelving, warm wood finishes, exposed beams and vintage furniture.

Several established shooting areas allow crews to move between different settings without changing location. These include a lounge area, dining space and kitchen, with a dedicated changing room supporting fashion and lifestyle productions.

The combination of greenery and home interiors means Greenhouse can represent several different environments on camera. Depending on the framing and styling, it could work as a loft apartment, family home, artist’s residence or creative workspace.

Its neutral surfaces are also useful where products, clothing or talent need to remain the visual focus, with plants and natural materials providing detail around them.

Palm

Location: London, TW10

Palm offers something very different: a purpose-built 900-square-foot studio within a glass house, surrounded by a five-acre commercial nursery.

The main daylight studio benefits from 360-degree natural light and has a portable cove that can be repositioned to follow the sun. A second fixed cove has blackout curtains, giving photographers and film crews a controlled alternative within the same location.

This combination means a production can move between abundant daylight and a more conventional controlled studio setup without relocating.

The surrounding nursery substantially expands the possibilities. Planted areas, garden walls and a Victorian lean-to can provide exterior and horticultural backgrounds, while plants from the nursery can be brought into the studio. Larger specimens can also potentially be moved using nursery machinery, subject to arrangements with the location.

Palm has good access through double doors without steps, making it easier to move equipment into the studio. Its electrical provision includes 63 amp three-phase power, supported by several three-phase, single-phase and ring main connections.

Polyboards, trestle tables, a vanity mirror, clothes rail, room dividers and a clothes steamer are among the practical studio equipment available. There is also a cottage that can be used as additional space for clients, hair and makeup or as a green room, subject to the requirements of the booking.

For botanical campaigns, fashion, beauty, products and filming requiring substantial natural light, Palm provides a particularly unusual combination of studio and planted environments.

Luxe

Location: London, SW18

Luxe is a daylight studio arranged over two floors of a Victorian building, with approximately 750 square feet of shooting space.

Rather than presenting productions with one large blank studio, Luxe provides three distinctive areas with their own furniture and backgrounds. A high-ceiling limewash wall provides a light, neutral setting; another room features wooden panelling, and a cream-coloured wall offers a softer alternative.

Natural daylight runs through the studio, making the location particularly suitable for personal branding, fashion, beauty, lifestyle and content production where a polished residential appearance is required.

Practical facilities include a hair and beauty station, clothes rail, steamer and fitting and storage area. A fully equipped kitchen provides another useful space during longer bookings, while an on-site studio assistant is available to support productions.

Free onsite parking also makes arrival and unloading more straightforward.

Luxe demonstrates the breadth of modern studio locations. Not every production requires a large white cove or industrial warehouse. For smaller crews and content-led shoots, having several styled settings ready to photograph can allow a significant amount of varied material to be produced within one booking.

A Wider Choice Of London Studio Locations

These new additions demonstrate just how different one studio filming location can be from another.

Chalk Farm Three provides a contemporary production space with drive-in access, blackout and three-phase power. Cookhouse and Arthouse use aged materials, vintage furniture and warehouse architecture to create character-rich interiors. Greenhouse introduces a lighter residential look with abundant planting, while Palm combines 360-degree daylight, coves and access to a working nursery. Luxe provides a more compact setting with polished lifestyle backgrounds ready for content production.

The right choice depends on the requirements of the shoot. Ceiling height, daylight, blackout, power, vehicle access and production facilities can be important technical considerations, while existing furniture, surfaces and architectural character can reduce the amount of set dressing required.

SHOOTFACTORY’s growing collection of photographic studios includes spaces for photography, commercial campaigns, fashion, editorial projects, content production and filming across London.
