Its that time of year when SHOOTFACTORY opens up our booking diary and reveals the most popular shoot locations for the previous year.
All of our Top 5 shoot locations in 2017 are London location houses which provide more area for production crews to work in.
Location: London, BR3
With 24 shoots under its belt last year, Beckenham location in BR3 was our most popular London shoot location.
This beautifully designed family home offers great flexibility for shooting. The rooms are all large with high ceilings and great daylight.
The double length sitting room has exposed brick features, some wall panelling, dark floors and window shutters to the rear. The furnishings are minimal but comfortable and there are two stone fireplaces.
The large kitchen to the rear is an adaptable space with a moveable island. The dining end of the room has a huge expanse of glazing with views over the garden. There are blinds fitted to the roof panels to control the light.

Location: London, SE8
With 21 shoot last year, Mastershipwrights in SE8 takes our second slot in our London shoot locations.
A huge rambling house near Greenwich. Large rooms with interesting decor and props. Wonderful pieces of antique furniture. Exposed plaster walls. Large industrial kitchen. Stone floors, large staircases. Extensive grounds with river views, parking on driveway for up to 8 cars.
One the side of the river with great views, great outside space, and quirky wood built structure.

An impressive 20 shoots in 2017, Lordship in N16 brings up the third spot in our top 5 London shoot location list.
An unusually large Victorian location house spread over four distinctly styled floors. Level 1, 60’s futuristic, white, light, cavernous space, sophisticated, cool, disco vibe.
Level 2, french grandeur, elegant 50ft reception room with 11ft ceilings and fantastic natural light, antique chateau panelling, working fireplaces, decorating allowed.
Level 3, feminine, light and airy interconnecting rooms with french doors to pretty roof terrace, two fireplaces, ornate plaster panelling. Level 4, glamorous james bond bedroom,fab 70’s bed, 15ft beaten copper wall, groovy props.

In a tied third place with another 20 shoots is Grove location in SW11.
A semi-detached early Victorian house in Battersea. Fully refurbished in 2015, the work was faithful to the old market-garden cottages that are a feature of this particular road, but with a subtle modern feel. General colour palette is pale, light greys with contrast of dark greys.
The hallway entrance has a limestone floor, features a spiral staircase and curved walls, and is lit by the skylight above.

Bringing up the fifth spot with 18 shoots is our Cannon location in BR7.
A 6,000sq ft. 5 bedroom detached Victorian Arts and Crafts property with a wealth of original features.
This family home is beautifully finished throughout and provides a choice of spacious reception rooms, a huge kitchen dining space, lots of period features and great outdoor spaces.
The home has a classic feel to it and the owners have been really careful to retain a traditional style but with a modern approach.
