ASTON BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, HP22

about

The new four-bedroom country location house on a sensitive site in the middle of a village is clad in brick with timber-board facings designed to sit comfortably in the local context

Set within the rolling Buckinghamshire countryside, this new house was conceived to provide generous open-plan living while capitalising on expansive views across the Vale of Aylesbury. It has been designed for a young family, its plan balancing clearly defined functional zones with adaptable open living spaces. Ancillary and service areas are positioned along the roadside, shielding the main living spaces from noise and overlooking. In contrast, the principal living spaces open out to the landscape, framed by full-height glazing.

These windows are protected by brise-soleil to mitigate solar gain, while photovoltaics and an air-source heat pump mean 95 per cent of the house’s energy needs are met from on-site generation.

The house is rich in architectural detail from the concrete floor, ceiling beams, vaulted roofs and double-height entrance.

Images displayed on this website are intended to illustrate the style and general overview of the locations. It is not a photographic catalogue of the exact decor and furniture; which are subject to change, movement or replacement. Anything specific must be checked prior to committing to a hire and we strongly recommend a recce to ensure a location suits your requirements.
