This beautifully curated Georgian country townhouse location is one of a pair in the Lyme Regis conservation area on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast to the South and South East. Built by a Lambeth gentleman in the 1820s it has a wealth of historic Georgian details, including high ceilings and open fireplaces as well as a quiet L-shaped walled garden. The current owners have re-imagined it to be a London Georgian townhouse by the sea.
Ground Floor: A simple Georgian- inspired kitchen with terracotta tiled floor and unfitted furniture and copper pans. It has an understairs pantry cupboard and a dark dining room (Salon Drab) with an open fireplace and taxidermy.
First Floor: The sitting room is on the first floor facing south and overlooking the garden. It has an original floor to ceiling window and open working fireplace. It is a soft french grey in palette with large mirrors and paintings and dark chocolate floorboards.
There is a second sitting room cum artists studio work room on the north side. It has high ceilings, a pair of sash windows, dark floorboards and a wood burning stove.
Second Floor: Two double bedrooms with dark floorboards, sash windows and slipper satin walls. One has a simple bathroom adjoining the other a new shower room and wc.
Third Floor: A large attic bedroom which is weatherboarded into the eaves with a slipper satin white painted floor. One end has a kingsize bed the other Crittal windows, an L-shaped sofa and 50 in wall-mounted TV. There are view out to sea and across to the Jurassic Coast. It has the feel of a New England cabin.
